The Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) is now being pursued by the Department of Defense (DoD) as the next generation cybersecurity architecture.
The ZTA initially focuses on restricting resources to those with a need to access and grant only the minimum privileges needed to perform the mission.
The 5G networks are aligned with the ZTA to enhance security by both blocking unauthorized access to network resources and preventing internal lateral movement by an attacker.
