High Performance Batteries – A Review

Batteries are devices for electrical energy storage that have expanded dramatically the field of application from small portable devices to electric vehicles and power grid energy storage. This review will encompass a brief history of batteries, but is mainly focused on the performance of Li-ion batteries. We will also discus advancements in the battery technology that are expected to increase the capacity and the lifetime of these devices.
