The Changing Enemy and Category of Conflict – POWs and the United States
Kyle Delano
Faculty: Daryl Lee
This project investigates how the United States has implemented international prisoner of war law in conflicts since World War Two.
Furthermore, it investigates if psychological in and outgroup dynamics between enemies potentially interplay with conflict and POW treatment.
This project also questions whether international POW law has become outdated in increasingly prominent categories of conflict involving insurgency and non-uniformed combatants.
